  1. Agree with them on pretty much everything, and it was nice to see a comedy in the theater, those are so few and far between for some reason nowadays

I saw it. I loved it.

Let me guess their take. As per usual.

“We’re so smart and intellectual and above all of this. This movie is terrible because only troglodytes will like it. It’s pointless nostalgia bait just for the sake of it and so the trained seals will clap at scenes. It’s creatively bankrupt and only made because money. As self entitled gatekeepers of the original and what it is we don’t like this because it fails to understand what made the first one so great.” Etc, etc. “Now let’s go watch the latest Star Wars bowel movement even though we claim we hate all modern Star Wars. And then suck off Kyle Garner some more.”

  3. Just got home from seeing it.

It was okay. Just okay. It didn’t feel like a Tim Burton movie, and honestly… The whole ex-wife subplot could have been dropped and I wouldn’t even have noticed. Musical number too long and not even close to Day-O.

Not peak cinema, but a fun flick.

  4. The pacing and the number of sub plots were such that it felt like they wrote a miniseries and cut it down to a movie. It was still a lot of fun, but half of the cast could have been cut.

  5. It was an OK movie. Pacing was a bit odd, at least not as concise as the original. Setting up two bad guys and having then simply lose without much of a fight is weird. Bringing back even the thought of a disgraced actor should not have been done.
