  1. Do yourself a favor and just watch Shogun. Everything from the sets, costumes, and language just completely immerse you in fuedal Japan. Sanada and Sawai just own every scene they’re in.

  2. Easily the best show on television since Succession ended last year.

This is the true heir to peak Game of Thrones in how it balances the epic storytelling and political intrigue with with intimate character development.

  3. “Some are born under a banner of greatness, others must claim it.”

    CONGRATULATIONS SHOGUN!

  4. Well deserved, such a magnificent show.

    *If I could use words*

*Like scattering flowers and falling leaves*

*What a bonfire my poems would make*

  5. Definitely a good series and probably deserved this award, but it’s just a tad bit overrated. That doesn’t mean I didn’t like it.

  6. This is the one show Reddit loves that didn’t click for me. Maybe I’m a dummy and need more action in my shows but the whole time I was waiting for something big to happen… and then it ended.

I know that will not be a popular take

Shogun (2024) – wins Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series

This can’t be the first time that the same source material has seen multiple adaptations win one of the big Emmy prizes, right?
