Getting a Lovecraftian vibe from the trailer. Looks fun and hokey at the same time though

This is gimmicky as hell, but damn if I’m not kind of sold on it.

Yes, because the worst part about side-scrolling games are the interactive bits. What we’ve really been missing all along is someone to remove all those pesky engaging game elements and leave us with 90 minutes of cut scenes.
Respectfully, I must extend the hardest of passes.

If this happens to be a short film, I can see it working, but I feel like the gimmick will wear off fast if it’s too long. Still, looks interesting.

I honestly can’t help but roll my eyes when I see movies with gimmicks like this
lot of potential for screen play for this premise. if they nail it we”ll probaby drown in this gimmick

Looks like a video game I can’t actually play, so not exactly enticing to watch a low budget Let’s Play. side scrolling was kinda done in Snowpiercer, but not the whole thing; just can’t see what the gimmick would serve for the whole film.

Resident Evil vibes, but unfortunately Resident Evil 1 acting quality seems….
