I think this is proof alone that kids could not care less about transformers nowadays.

Heartbreaking that after 40 years of asking for a REAL Transformers movie…Paramount botched their greatest film with poor marketing.
This film is incredible and I need sequels ASAP.
Hopefully, it legs out, so it isn’t a complete failure.

I feel like the lesson they’ll take from this is that nobody actually wanted a proper Transformers movie on Cybertron and the GA really just wants more Bayformers. The real lesson here is to not wait 5 years to follow up a well liked movie with a mediocre one and then follow that up with a riskier film like this. We should’ve had Bumblebee 2 in 2020 and then this in 2021. Especially since people loved the Cybertron scenes in Bumblebee so much, having this follow soon after would’ve put it in a better position. What they shouldn’t have done is a fucking maybe reboot/maybe prequel/who the hell knows Beast Wars movie with Unicron that sets up a GI Joe crossover with none of the talent behind their most acclaimed film back.
