  1. >Colin From Accounts co-creator and star Harriet Dyer has been tapped as a lead opposite Tim Meadows in CBS‘ single-camera comedy pilot DMV, from Dana Klein, Kapital Entertainment, TrillTV and CBS Studios. Dyer’s casting would not interfere with her duties on the well-received Paramount+ comedy series Colin From Accounts, also produced by CBS Studios; the dates have been worked out so she will be able to do both should DMV go to series and Colin From Accounts gets renewed for a third season.

    >Written by Klein based on author Katherine Heiny’s short story, DMV is a workplace comedy set at the place everyone dreads going most: the DMV. Our quirky and lovable characters are making minimum wage, doing a thankless job where customers are annoyed before they even walk in the door. Good thing they have each other.

    >**Dyer will play Colette. The driving examiner with a huge heart, Colette takes the scared and nervous people because she’s calming and patient and genuinely roots for them to pass. Smart, self-aware, and working on herself, Colette is adorably neurotic, bad with boundaries, and often prioritizes other peoples’ feelings over her own.**

    >Meadows plays another examiner, Gregg. Klein executive produces with Kapital’s Aaron Kaplan, Trill TV’s Wendi Trilling and Anonymous Content’s Robyn Meisinger.

    >The pilot, which will film in Canada, reunites Dyer with Kapital after she starred in the company’s NBC series American Auto, also a single-camera workplace comedy.

    >Dyer co-created, executive produces, and stars along her husband, Patrick Brammall, on Colin From Accounts, whose second season premieres on Paramount+ tomorrow, Sept. 26. The series won at the 2024 Gotham TV Awards for Breakthrough Comedy Series, with Dyer winning for Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series.

    >Dyer’s credits also include the NBC’s drama series The Inbetween, the Stan comedy series The Other Guy and the feature The Invisible Man. She is repped by Atlas Artists, UTA, RGM, Jackoway Austen.

NGL, this sounds like the most Harriet Dyer role imaginable.
