(Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth, Sean Young in Dune, Ione Skye in Say Anything, & Heather Langenkamp in Friday the 13th)

I also just think it’s so interesting how certain types of faces are “in” during different decades. What are patterns that y’all have seen?? Any faves?? Did I miss any thick browed pout queens??

They all have very British Isles old money/patrician looking faces with strong jaws but lots of fat in their buccal pad region (against the current trend). In fact I’m willing to guess all of these girls while American are at least part British or Irish – it’s a very specific look. They would work well in an 80s Ralph Lauren ad.

Soft round eyes with brows that are flat or upturned at the inner corners rather than arched, giving them an innocent, youthful look. Noses are also fairly natural and not overly refined by surgery. The main allure is feminine features and facial balance / great bases (pretty much impossible to achieve with surgery because it has to do with the distance between features). These faces are so pretty to me but are completely the opposite of the scissor sharp / alienesque Instagram faces we have now, which I personally hate.

Jennifer Connelly has perhaps the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. If you look closeups the shape is just unreal. I can’t imagine what she’d do to them if she were young today and got some awful ponytail lift or bleph. :/
