Todd has insisted for a while now that he won’t be making a third “Joker” film, or any sort of follow-up to it, and he certainly did everything in his power to ensure people wouldn’t *want* a third one when he was making “Joker 2”.

Now I kinda feel like people were right. He quite possibly made Joker 2 this bad to screw the studio cause he didn’t really wanna make a sequel .

Makes sense, he didn’t really want to do Joker 2 but WB threw a ton of money at him so he did whatever the fuck he wanted.
Phoenix was the one pushing for it and it wasn’t until June 2022 that Phillips confirmed it.

The first film was loved by its fans because it was grounded and raw. When I heard it was a musical 2 years ago I knew it would be bad. People were optimistic but I remember who was directing it.
