  1. From the article, “it’s quite possible that “Joker: Folie à Deux” merely performs like a standard October wide release, opening to around $110 million worldwide and finishing with a global total between $400 million and $600 million.”

Expecting 4x legs with this Word of mouth is something!

  2. Short answer: No

Long Answer: Absolutely not, the movie would be lucky to be just a mild disappointment

  3. WOM is already awful with critics and online reviewers and the choices the film makes will lead to the General Audience hating it. I can’t even remember the last time DC got an above B+ cinemascore and this might even get a B or B- but if rating form Korea and India are to be believed it may get aC+ or lower which would be catastrophic for world of mouth.

From all of these articles you can *really* tell the industry was not expecting Joker 2 to be a giant bomb. It was really banking on it even being bigger than the first by a good margin.

  5. No.

    It has a $190M budget.

Won’t even double it for $380M AND be overseas heavy on top of that.

  6. With this about to be a monumental flop, I sincerely hope The Wild Robot can at least ease the bleeding that Joker will cause…

PLEASE HELP/SAVE US ALREADY, ROZ. 🤖🤖🤖

Five years ago, if you’d asked most people how much they thought a Joker movie* could make, they’d have guessed somewhere in the 200 – 300 million dollar range, at best

    >Can it still be a hit?

    Nah bro, it’s already over.

People who really wanted this movie to succeed are currently going through the five stages of grief, and a lot of them are at the bargaining stage right now.

  9. My wife six months to go: “I loved the first one so there is no way we’re not going to see it.”

My wife two months ago after the trailers: “this doesn’t look great. Is it a way to promote Lady Gaga ?”

My wife yesterday: “everyone says it’s bad. I don’t want to see it.”

Why aren’t people seeing this? It looks promising and I don’t want another flop. We had far too many flops already and we don’t need anymore.

No its jokeover 400M is the best case scenario now and given the budget thats gonna be another loss

  12. It’s at 39% on RT.
Ranked the same or slightly better overseas.
Preview data shows it’s doing bad.

I don’t even see 500mil for this film
