It’s absolutely remarkable that she was unable to do any gymnastics due to multiple kidney issues, then 6 months later she was winning 3 medals at the Olympics!
And it’s not like she hopped back into gymnastics fully ready to go, either. We got to see her improve with every gymnastics competition leading up to the Paris Games. She gritted out that comeback through transcendent levels of determination!
She’ll always be one of my favorite gymnasts. <3 And I’m very happy that she’s getting this cover and story!
