Didn’t the show end pretty definitively? Community was always one of those shows that I felt had a really funny premise but they stretched it out way too long to the point they made Jeff a teacher and did shenningans to have everyone stay past their alloted time. All that being said as someone who went to community college before going to a big 4 year university, Dan Harmon catches the humor and what it’s like on those campuses. The study group aspect is something they absolutely nail.

I wish we’d stop getting every single detail about this movie. If it happens I’ll watch it but getting all these updates makes me think it’s going to take forever to happen if it does at all

  3. Instead of a full movie, they should do an extended 40 minute epilogue-ish episode where each core character has some plotline that gets resolved within that timeframe that also points them in a sense to where they’re going off to post college. Have at least a part of Abed’s plotline be a meta joke that everyone’s so damn fond of, that he’s concerned about fulfilling the 6 seasons and a movie prophecy lest they diverge into the darkest timeline. Then as things start wrapping up and concluding around the 40 minute mark, Abed starts panicking, but then some random thing/crisis cold open occurs, Jeff announces they got to take care of it one last time, roll the opening credits again, and turns out there’s another 20 minutes with their patented one-off paintball, conspiracy theory class, pillow fort, etc. episodes separate from the first 40 minutes. Then at the end of that, Abed realizes with that extra 20 minutes, it turned what was a 2 part series finale into a tv mini movie, thus fulfilling the meme, and he gives a little speech about how while it wasn’t exactly what he wanted, or how things were supposed to be, it was still perfect nonetheless and he’s very happy with it, completing his character growth.
