  1. What is her job now? Because she’s very comfortable ensuring she never gets another interview.

  2. Like I’m not trying to be mean…but these aren’t good questions what is she trying to prove here?

  3. Blake’s behavior in her interview with this reporter was abhorrent and Anne does not seem to be rude from what we are shown here. Just providing succinct answers. Two different actresses, two different situations.

While these questions are mostly innocuous, wasn’t this around the time those gross paparazzi took photos up Anne Hathaway’s dress and that creep Matt Lauer had the nerve to shame her for it? Given that context, I don’t blame her for not exactly being warm and fuzzy with interviewers after that.

  5. I have some thoughts about Kjersti’s overall interview style, but one thing I’ll say here…
I’ve interviewed some actors years back and I would literally die on the inside whenever someone gave me a yes/no answer to a (dare I say – well researched) question that I anticipated they’d elaborate on. It was soul crushing. So honestly… seeing this side of interviews is oddly refreshing because IT’S NOT ALL FUN AND GAMES GUYSSSS😭

I think this is fine, I don’t think this makes Hathaway look bad.

Edit: I haven’t seen the full interview but she gave one word answers to two poor questions and for the first one she’s declining to sing. If this is all she’s got to try to make her look bad from the whole interview then it’s pretty weak.

  7. I get too vicariously embarrassed watching awkward things. Please spoil it for me – is it a bad interviewer or is Anne Hathaway being weird in her response?

I’ve been patiently waiting on this to be posted here. Was this during the Anne Hathahate days?

This was brutal to watch and then she posted the Hugh Jackman video of him going along with it

  9. Oof…I get doing these press junkets must be tiring but damn. I feel bad for the interviewer

Cold but polite. Lightyears away from the Lively interview which was gasp-worthy rude

I struggle with demand avoidance a lot so I have a different perspective on this. If I feel like someone is pressuring me to do something I don’t want to do, I will just grey rock them because I want to be left alone.

I can see the first thing about expressly stating a boundary, so if she did the singing anyway, I can see how Anne might feel like her boundary was pushed back on and didn’t find it cute? The third question was also a bit of a boundaries issue. The second question is the only one where I’m like, she could have been a bit more accomodating as it was about the movie. I don’t know. It’s kind of hard to say what went down without the full interview and only snippets. I can see it as a case of shutting down and not wanting to engage and Anne looks super uncomfortable, they both do.

Why did my dumb ass immediately forget this is a video and start hitting screen to read the TikTok comments

  13. Didn’t she starve herself for that role? I think she was probably in a bad place mentally after doing that

Fair enough, she didn’t want to play along with the first question. It just feels extra awkward because the responses from other members of the cast were friendlier. For the other questions, she should have elaborated on her answers. I get wanting to be direct, but she sometimes comes across as abrupt and impolite. A simple yes or no doesn’t work in interviews unless you are answering rapid-fire questions.

  15. Not understanding the Anne defenders here. She is getting paid MILLIONS and yet she chose to act rude and cold.

  16. I can understand why she wouldn’t sing, she’s not a puppet. The rest was pretty uncomfortable and not professional. She was clearly not in a good mood.
