The hardest movie to track is Venom: The Last Dance. The sales are solid, but not spectacular. $70m-$80m as of now, but such a walk-up monster that good reviews could drive it higher. Either way, $100m looking unlikely but won’t be a bad opening by any means. Still time!

I remember trackers saying LTC would open with 46 million and it in fact opened with 92 million. 😂

Or Lady Gaga fans in 2018 believing that A Star Is Born could open at #1

I don’t know why but for some reason Venom movies have animation level of walk ups.

Call me crazy but I think the political landscape has sucked all enthusiasm out of these fall releases. The presidential election is in a couple weeks, we might have another World War, and Florida is about to be hit with a major hurricane. There’s a lot of distractions. Throw in the fact that these movies aren’t particularly good either…I’m not surprised the audience isn’t materializing.

  3. Don’t see how this film’s gross will be substantially impacted by reviews.

It’s the third in the series, we know what to expect and if mediocre reviews kept folks home for one and two (they didn’t, mind you), then why are they gonna shell out for the third one when they’ve missed the first two?

  4. Wow 🤩 so I have been right about this one, it’s the biggest movie of the fall season!

Some people were really confident in declaring this a flop based on just a day of sales lmao
