I LOVE *Freaky Friday*, both the original and the remake, but they REALLY have to stop with the body swap movies, they’re old and tired. The only one I’ve seen since the last *FF* that were actually fun was *The Change Up*, and *Freaky*.
Otherwise, this trope died about the time that the kid from *The Wonder Years* did his version.

I’ve been thinking about how there were all these articles on what “went wrong” with no one liking (or noticing) the new Katy Perry album, when it used to be understood that most of the time, things are only popular for a little while, and then we move past them. But that can’t be ALLOWED to happen anymore. Culture is no longer linear, it’s a moment that never ends. Everything is new and trendy and now, forever, and if it’s not being continuously exploited for profit it’s a failure, regardless of whether people want more of it or not.
