  1. One of the biggest success stories ever, but we really need original animation to start doing well again. There hasn’t really been an original animated movie that was a smash hit at the box office since Coco.

  2. Insane. Never would have expected this. I know Inside Out is loved and was expecting to do well but damn!

Phenomenal run for this film! I did not expect this to not just be the biggest Pixar film ever, but top The Lion King 2019 as the highest grossing animated film ever.

Glad Pixar is back and let’s see if they can hit it well with Elio, Hoppers, and Toy Story 5.

Meanwhile the movie everyone thought was a sure fire hit 😅

  5. Every stories will have a conclusion and this film’s story was closed on an outstanding note. Most of us agreed that it will be a success, but we did NOT expect it to become THE highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Also, I honestly have no idea what’s more surprising between this exceeding expectations in terms of financial success and **The Wild Robot** exceeding expectations in terms of critical success. I thought the latter’s critical reception was going to drop to **How to Train Your Dragon 2**-level (which would still be great regardless), but MAN! It still holds 98% on RottenTomatoes with 8.5/10 average and 85/100 on Metacritic!

Yeah, it’s official. This year’s Best Animated Feature Oscar is this vs. **The Wild Robot**.

Well-earned success, now I’m curious what the plot of the inevitable Inside Out 3 will be.
