ETA: fyi, if Chiwetel Ejiofor returns to play Baron Mordo, this will be the third time Denzel and Chiwetel co-star in the same movie. They have previously shared screentime in American Gangster (2007) and Inside Man (2006).

He just did an interview where he said he wanted to do more behind the camera work as opposed to acting at this point. Marvel would not have been my guess lol

I’m not surprised when any actor signs up for the MCU. It’s big money, and older actors tend to loosen up and give less of a shit as they reach their twilight years.
