TRANSFORMERS ONE earned nearly $10M worldwide this weekend, $111M total.
While fantastic for a mid-budget animated movie, definitely isn't for an over $140 million blockbuster, that's intended to launch a new series of films.
There is no coping avalable. This is really bad. Only hope for breaking even is years of popularity on streaming. And pretty much no hope for a sequel sadly. Only way it could happen is if Paramount feels they have no other options and want to hail mary because at least this one got a good reception. But realistically they’re bound to go for the GI Joe crossover instead.

Oof, that is rough. Like, I knew this movie didn’t manage to grab a lot of people’s attention and breakout with a general audience, but still, that is rough.

TMNT is getting a sequel despite the first movie only making $180m. Are there still markets for TFone to open? I think $180m is still a remote possibility.
