I mean I know the Oregon Washington border is not super populated, but I wouldn’t call it a “faraway land”. Also, what is a Russian sniper doing there? The real plot twist will be the reveal that the monster is actually the Dave Matthew’s Band, and they keep letting him do yearly shows to appease him.
