Tina said what she needed to say. However it’s sad that it needed to explained at all. The idea that Beyoncé’s Blackness needed to questioned, defined & pigeonholed. Colourism and the lack of understanding that Blackness comes in all different shades and hues is tiring. There is no one way to be Black.

All I’m saying is if I ever got famous I would do anything possible to keep my mother from googling me. She would be in these streets 24/7 trying to fight people for me. There’s no way to win but as a parent I can’t imagine seeing people shit talk your child.
