I’ve been wondering about this concept since the first synopsis came out. How did this get green lit lol…?

  3. Calling Grace Randolph a film critic is generous of you! While there are some critics with YouTube channels who actually care about film criticism, she is not one of them.

She’s a baby-brain herself who is used to movies (comic book movies) where the hero is Good and Perfect.

Has Grace Randolph ever had a good take?

If anything I now want to watch it more and actually engage with the film rather than a tweet meant to generate likes.

lol I love that she’s calling out the morals of the film.

Art is not supposed to always be warm and pleasant and politically correct. Life isn’t always like that so why do we get mad when our pretty bubble is popped by a film that disturbs us? That’s the point of art.

Stick to YouTube videos , Grace! Xoxox

Haven’t yet seen Poor Things, but I need to know. Isn’t the point of the book that Bella >!contests McCandless’s account — that by her own memory, she was always an adult and he made up the Frankensteinian origin story to satisfy his sick romantic ideals!<? Does the film drop that angle?

  9. I don’t know anything about the critic or the film, but the tweet sounds like outrage bait.

The concept sounds like a risky one; It could be gross; it could also be some sort of feminist critique—waiting to see the actual film to make a judgement.
