Excerpt: “As everyone knows, we together — both of us, mutually — decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private. It was never something to commodify and I see no reason to change that now,” Alwyn adds firmly. “And, look, this is also a little over a year ago now and I feel fortunate to be in a really great place in my life, professionally and personally. I feel really good.” Later I point out that, arguably, the reason to change tack is because Swift — who has 283 million Instagram followers — has released an album where some songs seemingly relate to their relationship unravelling. “Well, as I said, there’s always going to be a gap between what’s known and what’s said,” he repeats.

  1. why do all her exes always sound shocked when she writes about them… where have they been??

I feel like the people who think the album is about Joe haven’t really listened to it. The only songs that are seemingly about him are pretty mild. Matty got dragged, Joe didn’t.

Overall, he was respectful and hopefully doesn’t have to talk about it again.

  3. Copying this from another post in case it gets deleted:

Both people trying to find stupid reasons to hate him and the people trying to dissect his interviews for shade / tea about his ex to prove she’s the big bad are missing his main point: we were not (and are not) welcome to be a part of this relationship and no matter how many blind items, daily mail articles or pr interviews we read the full truth is simply never going to be known.

leave the man alone and I hope the both of them are at peace in their lives now. that is all.

I’m looking forward to Kinds of Kindness. I liked him in The Favourite, and wished he’d been used more (though obviously I understand why he wasn’t, it was very much not his story) so I’m looking forward to seeing what Yorgos does with him in this one. Does with the entire cast, really!

I think it’s great that he called out the hate he got. It is shameful and never made sense. Even if fans would’ve been right and he had done something, he still wouldn’t have deserved hate.

I think it’s sad that it didn’t work out. He seems like a good person. And I disagree with people who say one of them fumbled. They didn’t, because they weren’t on the same page. He’s allowed to want his privacy and she’s allowed to want to be more free and enjoy public moments with a significant other. For someone who wants marriage and doesn’t get an engagement by the 6th year, it’s completely understandable to leave.

Now it sounds like he’s dating in private, which is what he wants. And Taylor is in a relationship that she doesn’t have to worry about being seen in public, but they still keep some moments private.
