This continues to be one of my favorite films over the years, specifically because I feel it maintains its tone through this breadth of genres. Great comedy, drama, thriller, fantasy, and filmed entirely in the Budapest subway system if I’m not mistaken. I was hoping to get some other suggestions of films that a) successfully weave so many genres into one effort and/or b) are filmed mostly underground. Both interest me greatly. I especially admire the creative constraint of the latter. (The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 is another favorite of mine.)
