Yeah I just hate how incredibly UNsubtle it is. I didn’t finish the latest season cause it was just ridiculous. Once I got to the MAGA rally I was done.
EDIT I wonder if people DV this because they **incorrectly** assume I am a trump fan? As opposed to just not wanting current day politics being the storyline in my escapist TV.

Well that’s nonsensical. The boys comic ended 4 years before Trump’s campaign for president. Homelander has always presented himself as simple all american simple guy, while trump has never shied away from his real estate mogul persona. Homelander pretends to be nice, Trump is openly hostile. Everything from their physical appearance to their demeanor is near polar opposite. The only real comparison is that they are both narcissistic, but that could be said for the vast majority of politicians and 80% of supes on the Boys.
