Chris actually first performed with Michael in his parkinsons foundation event back in 2013. The band then invited him to perform Johnny B. Goode with them at their NY concert in 2016. This year the band decided that they wanted Michael to experience what it feels like playing on the pyramid stage in one of the biggest festivals in the world so they brought him along to play humankind and fix you with them. His response melted my heart.
