It’s a Paul Feig film (had no idea he was making this as I thought he was working on A Simple Favor 2), and an R-Rated comedy.
– Bridesmaids (2011) made $290M worldwide.
– The Heat (2013) made $230M worldwide (same as Ghostbusters 2016)
– Spy! (2015) made $234M worldwide.
I assume Paul keeps the budgets responsibly low outside of Ghostbusters 2016. This Jackpot! (2024) movie is streaming August 15th. Would audiences care for a lightweight John Cena, Awkwafina and Simu Liu comedy later in the summer? Could this movie have made minor beaucoup bucks?
