watched an unfinished screener a few months ago. I thought it was terrible. Very bland and boring.

Granted, it was unfinished so the final film might be better but I thought it was pretty rough.

  2. This is the movie that cost *320 million dollars* and it looks like that? Doesn’t look like there’s a real background in any of those stills, excessively muted colors. Yikes.

  3. When it comes to working with scripts from Markus and McFeely, the Russo Brothers are 4 for 5 in my book.

Here’s hoping this is more Infinity War quality and less Gray Man nonsense.

  4. There should be a law against this kind of Hollywood brutality. Electric State was a quiet and thoughtful book dripping with atmosphere. This just looks like it’s dripping in failure.

Reportedly the most Expensive Netflix movie ever produced . Insane to see Netflix and Amazon dump over $300m on the Russo Brothers Projects .

  6. Loved the art book this originates from and I’m real worried the Russos are abandoning the source material for just another schlock blockbuster. Not encouraged by these images

  7. YES. The game this is based off of (which was based off an art book) is amazing so the story is going to be so good.

Not really seen anything worth of anything from Russo Brothers after End Game, but it seems to have given them rather free budgets everywhere. IMDB shows this to have 300million too, not to trust it fully, but It can also be true easily.

Then there’s Citadel, which was a famous superflop for Amazon, The Gray Man, budget of 200million again, probably brought good amount of views on Netflix, but absolutely wasted it’s cast and the movie was simply… boring. To look at in general, and with action. I thought Cherry was actually decent. Not anything great, but a fun smaller flick.

Now ofc people could say “but but Extraction”, that movie was so much more about the directing from Hargrave, rather than the simple script Russos put up for it.

edit: Oh yeah, weren’t they the people behind RDJs cast too? Which from what I’ve heard, cost insane amounts of money.

So yeah, I feel like it would be a good place for them to start showing something for all the money they’re being thrown at.
