Hilarious that this already disastrous number will probably go even lower when actuals come out.

WB will not accept it to go down 40 million. Let’s see the actuals tomorrow…

WB and Paramount are well known for rounding their numbers as much as they can.

  3. Man talk about a real misfire. Not sure why we needed this and now I’m concerned this could be like- career impacting bad for those involved. WOW.

  4. This is definitely going lower than that. But damn Joker 2 is no longer limping down those stairs, he’s straight up falling down those stairs like a fucking landslide

“How about one last joke, Murray?”

“What do you get when you give 200 million dollars to a sadistic director that abandons his audience and treats them like trash!?? I’ll tell you what you get! You get what you fucking deserve!!!”

  6. If Todd Phillips wanted his movie to be compared to the works of Coppola, then he got what he wanted.

This movie really went from being predicted to make over $90-$100 million on its opening weekend a few months ago to just barely making more than Morbius’ opening weekend. That’s how embarrassing of a flop this movie is.

Edit: Now I’m seeing a post on here on how this made below Morbius’ opening weekend. What an embarrassment.

  8. Somehow Alabama Football losing to Vanderbilt isn’t the lolcow of the week, Joker 2 is

What is even the point of fudging the estimates when the numbers are already pathetic to begin with?

  10. It’s ok, I understand how Warner wouldn’t want the “Joker opens lower than Morbius” headlines this Sunday.

It’s obvious these numbers will drop and get revised.

  11. All he had to do was make a film about Joker causing mayhem around Gotham and being a crime lord etc. That’s all he had to do. Easy $1 billion WW.

What prompted him to make the film like… this?

It’s not like he made the film shit as a fuck you because he got paid peanuts. He got paid $20 million or thereabouts?? Why not just TRY to make it good?

  12. Lmao. What a disaster… who knew no one wanted their antihero >!raped by cops!<? Not Todd, apparently.

  13. 12th biggest unadjusted weekend of all time for a movie with Joker in it!

  14. This was one of the worst films I’ve ever seen (and I love the first film).

It’s not even “so bad that it’s good”, it’s just a plain boring dud. Nothing happens for 2 hours and there are songs every 5 mins that don’t really move the story forward or do anything. The execs who signed off this to be a musical were completely our of their mind.

Not to mention the ending that not only ruins the film, but the retrospectively the first film as well. The ending feels like one of those Rian Johnson “f**k you audience” decisions just to subvert expectations, in the worst possible way.

You get what you deserve, WB. This is going to be buried and forgotten next weekend.
