“Remastering” a movie that was made a few years ago? Must be really running out of ideas

I’ll always contend that the villain should have kept the mask on the entire time. It fits so perfectly with the nature of the film/protagonist and nearly reached iconography status.
The movie loses a lot of steam for me the moment he reveals his face. It’s almost like it steps down a few notches into a more mundane horror film.
It’s still a solid movie, but I feel it could have been better.
