Good for him. SNL made their decision, let them live with it.

JAJ is honestly pitch perfect for Trump, anyway.

why would they want to replace James Austin Johnson? while he doesn’t really have the body type he does a good job with the nonsensical rants.

Why the hell would they ever replace the guy who went mega viral for his incredible Trump impressions before joining SNL anyway? Shane ain’t shit compared to JAJ.
Plus JAJ needs justice after being murdered by Lalo

Keep JAJ as Dump, kick Bowen Yang to the curb as Vance (I mean, they didn’t even put eyeliner on Yang–lazy, lazy, lazy), then recast Vance with Haley Joel Osment the way it should be. Don’t believe me, just watch this Kimmel segment:
“Shane Gillis Lies About Turning Down Donald Trump on ‘SNL’ Season 50”

Can’t wait for Trump to win and satire like this outlawed.

Wait so after SNL FIRED Gillis they’re like “hey you’re really popular as a Trump impersonator want to work for us again? No hard feelings right?”
Can’t say I blame him at all for turning that down.

>“Nobody thought [Gillis] was coming to this festival this year,” podcaster Luis J. Gomez said.
>“Explain why,” Gillis replied. “Because he was offered to play Trump on the entire season of SNL and he turned it down to f*cking be here, folks,” Gomez added. Gillis said, “They said, ‘Are you serious? You’re going to say no?’ I said, ‘Lorne, I’ve got to go to Coke Magic.’”
I don’t know, kind of reads like he’s joking.

I don’t think he’s bullshitting but that’s super interesting

JAJ is fine, but Shane’s trump is just on a completely other level. I can see why they would want him but SNL seems a bit beneath him at this point
Why does anyone care about this show. It’s like high school play level humour.

I believe Gillis as JD Vance. He looks the part, has a comedy style that fits the kind of jokes Vance offers, and it’s a temporary gig (hopefully). Bowen doesn’t feel like their first choice for that character
