Hell House only being #20 is criminal, probably my favourite FF movie of all time.

Blair Witch is the queen of found footage films
also i saw the poughkeepsie tapes when i was 15 on youtube and it convinced me
that i’d rather die escaping then get the fate of the one girl the killer named slave
chilling

One Cut of the Dead is a fantastic film. It’s not a found footage movie though.

Would have liked to see ‘As Above, So Below’ on the list, but Blaire Witch being number 1 was guaranteed.

Kane Pixels Backrooms Found Footage series
Kane Pixels The Rolling Giant series
Probably some of the best stuff the decade, can’t wait to see what comes of his movie deal.

*One Cut of the Dead* is an excellent film, but it’s not found footage. In fact, one may argue it’s the opposite of that. No, I shan’t elaborate. IYKYK.

I’d add an honourable mention of Spree, i feel like it kinda falls into the found footage category.

Blair witch project debuted at the Sundance film festival and my roommate got tickets to the premiere screening, when there was ZERO promotional information or context about the movie out there. It was just some random movie premiere and he scored a locals ticket.
I’ll never forget how terrified he was when he came back. He was like “was this a documentary? Was it staged? It was so real.” This was a grown man going into graduate school and he refused to stay in the house, left to go back to his parents’ house!

It’s great to see Lake Mungo getting the praise it deserves, it’s always the horror film I tell people to watch when they ask for suggestions at this time of the year.

I love Host. You can see the zoom meeting timer counting down and just adds to the ridiculous high tension at the end. Under an hour too

As Above So Below should be on here. Alien Abduction (2014) was also a lesser know one that I thought was solid for what it was

Not a big fan of Lake Mungo, never can understand why it’s so high on a lot of lists.
