I think what most people who hate it are saying (and I don’t necessarily agree btw) is that they wish it were gone as the MCU juggernaut has monopolized all the studios’ budgets and talent and has morphed the priorities of said studios in a way that has made the cinema landscape quite different than it used to be with its over-reliance on pre-existing IP. Also likely what it has done to the broader film culture, which again, is debatable.
