>Today, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, *Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,* the exhibit will feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more—all exploring the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th-century through present day. As such, the 2025 chairs could not be more fitting.
I could not trust Andrew Bolton any less with this theme but hopefully he’ll be working with someone else more knowledgeable. I don’t think giving people random rooms like they did with the In America exhibit is the right move because it came across as too disjointed.

lebron James will also be an honorary cochair
Do they not remember the Blockout? I would avoid the Met Gala like the plague
Is there a reason there seems to be more co-chairs every year?
Also hoping that ASAP Rocky’s co-chair role means Rihanna is guaranteed to show up!!

A group of beautiful black men who play around with fashion??? Sign me the fuck up
No excuses for men showing up in their regular boring suits this time
Last year Chris Hemsworth was a co-chair and he tried maybe negative amount. I think these guys will be better.
