  1. No one should have been surprised. Terrifier 2 was a word-of-mouth success in theatres and was even bigger in post-theatrical. Horror fans never stopped talking about Art.

It’s wild this clown hit mainstream. My son’s middle school has halloween decorations up and I saw and an Art the Clown on their wall. Blew my mind.

I’m curious how long they can keep this up. Obviously, the hype right now is at an all time high and 3 is a massive success. I think that’ll carry over into 4 too. If they have a 5th, I’m not sure. I loved 3, but these types of movies do have a ceiling, and I genuinely don’t know what that will be for Terrifier. $50 mil WW? $100 mil? More?

This franchise is such a treat to watch BO wise. It’s not my thing so I don’t watch them besides reviews, but it’s exciting.

I’m most curious to see how high the ceiling is for BO sales. I’m secondly curious to see how long it takes to peak and when the founding creative mind(s) depart, how that goes.

But lastly, congrats! Beyond all my curiosity, can’t forget the praise.

  5. That’s pretty amazing for a film like this when you think about it. It’s not really my cup of tea, I’m more of a Halloween or Alien horror movie kind of guy, but I’m impressed by how well it did and I’m happy to see it doing well, especially as an indie film.
