  1. There’s no dispute that this is a great film, but it can be bit of a chore to sit through since this is a crime drama film that runs for 206 minutes. This also means that this is the longest film with no intermission involved to be released in IMAX format.

  2. One of my favorite 2023 films, a truly great and sad epic. Gladstone and DiCaprio were phenomenal but DeNiro turned in the best performance as the devil. One scene that hit hard early on was him praying over Mollie’s sister dying full well knowing he poisoned her.

Main complaint was that it’s 45min-1 hour too long, there’s a ton of unnecessary scenes that could’ve been cut. And it’s a shame it bombed and went 0-10 at the Oscars. Still think Gladstone deserved the win

  3. I made a post on this – but for some reason it was removed. Anyway, this box office performance is very impressive. Domestic maybe slightly disappointing – but 68 million is no joke – especially in a packed summer season like last year. And 85 something million international is just 15 million lesser than Twisters’ international total of about 100 million.

Yes, it was a box office flop. But, impressive

  4. If you haven’t watched it, please do. If not for the brilliant acting from Leo, De Niro, and Lily but to AT LEAST learn a little bit of the plight of the Native Americans

  5. Its kinda interesting that Ridley Scott still gets consistent funding for his big budget projects for theatrical release while Scorsese struggles.

Ridley Scott has a $300M passion project coming out later this year.

Love Scorsese. Love DiCaprio. I walked out on this. To date- I have no idea why they made this film. I hope it’s not Scorsese’s last and that he gets to do something more genuine and heartfelt before his number’s up.
