Millie Bobby Brown can’t act, and this looks like shit. You’re doing great, Netflix.

Looks fine to me. Could be fun. Kind of jumble of stuff going on

Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt – two of the most aggressively uninteresting actors around. They are perfect for Netflix algorithmic slop.

The only hope I have for this movie is that it’s written by Markus and McFeely aka the dudes that made Captain America cool and made the last 2 Avengers movies epic. Other than that, this just looks like your typical forgettable Friday night netflix slop they release every weekend.

Looks like I’m in the minority but it looks pretty good.

I’m already crying for the friends who are robots we lose.

I couldn’t finish it. Everything about the trailer was cliche.
Single piano note for ominous tone
Slowed down pop song
Narration about losing everything
It’s a pass

This looks fun. I’ll give it a go.

Looks a lot like ‘tales from the loop’ which i loved.
Is it just me or does she look like Sarah Michelle Gellar in this image?

Ke Huy Quan is once again going to be some sort of inventor guy putting together broken robots or some shit

The amazing art by simon stahlberg just feels so wasted by this movie.
Like none of the ambience or emotions you feel from his art can be felt in this trailer. Just feels so generic sci-fi shlock.

Looks fun, but ultimately I’m in this thread to see the predictable reddit Chris Pratt hate circlejerk.

Did the creators even read the source material? The tone seems way off.

This looks sick. Love how the robots look like they’re from a cartoon. Sometimes scary things come in cute packages.

Everyone ragging on MBB, but I thought she did well in Enola Holmes. She’s not like… the next Meryl Streep or anything, but I don’t think this film really requires that.
Chris Pratt on the other hand…

Damn, y’all really hate literally every actor except like 3 and hate every movie/show except like 5 or 6.
Bunch of sad baby pessimists in here.

My god I hate the slowed down song in trailers just for dramatic effect.

How do we take something atmospheric and interesting and remove both any atmosphere or interest whatsoever just to turn into more netflix content slop.

Sorry but…pass. Cast looks good though.

The aesthetic looks to be heavily inspired by Simon Stalenhag’s art.
Edit: This movie is based on Simon Stalenhag’s novel.

So many stars in one movie isn’t always working for Netflix. But the design is beautiful.

So like a more “friendly” version of the matrix storyline where the robots lost their rights and started to fight back…maybe?

Looks okay I wonder how MBB will ruin it like everything else she’s done since stranger things

Using Oasis for the trailer? Yes please.
Also, what is wrong with you people? An original movie, not a sequel, not based on anything and you’re all shitting on it when all of you have been asking for this exact thing. JFC.
It looks fun and I will probably cry over a robot dying.

Wow, it looks very generic and awful. The sense of scale and looming quiet in Stalenhags works that were once so beautiful have been….I dunno, MCU-ified.

They’ve taken a wonderful work of expressionistic art and turned it into algorithm slop.
