In an interview with Stephen Colbert, Steven Spielberg said that he needed to start shooting Schindler’s List in the winter in Poland to take advantage of the cold and snow but that meant having to leave Jurassic Park before it was fully complete. It was all shot and edited but he needed help and supervision on final touches and called George Lucas to help oversee that.
