In an alternate version of today’s world where dueling is still acceptable, Philip, a man of tradition, must perform the role of ‘Second’ on the day of his only son’s duel.” They also add that this is a new “limited series featuring new video essays, followed by a short film – The Second.” The Second is a 14-minute short film written and directed by filmmakers Taylor Ramos & Tony Zhou.They created the YouTube channel called Every Frame a Painting (watch more here) described as “a series of video essays about film form, made from April 2014 to September 2016.” It’s produced by Jon Warne, Eric Bizzarri, Nach Dudsdeemaytha, Ethan Hwang & Tyrus Hwang. The Second will premiere at the 2024 Fantasia Film Festival this summer.
