My guess is this will do on premium screens, but that wont be enough to save it from being a flop

Man. I could give two fucks about the budget or whatever. Know that I’ll be seated opening day

I do think it’ll be a “success” – by that I think the movie can do 500M WW but obviously it’ll never break even due to its massive 300M budget.
First proper trailer when the current 2024 season ends, another one when the 2025 season begins, then full promo at Cannes and Monaco (Monaco GP always takes place during Festival de Cannes) followed by release. The promo plan is basically drawn already. Market it as “from the acclaimed director of Top Gun: Maverick” and go all in in IMAX and PLF screens.

Comes out next year and still has a trailer out before Gladiator 2 (another 300M film) which comes out in November.

why is this 300m dollars?

Looks good, definitely Top Gun vibes, but with a $300 million budget, I’m not sure it will be successful. Racing movies haven’t really been making that much money. Gran Turismo and Ford V Ferrari only made modest returns

Günther Steiner?

Looks a lot of fun for those who are racing fans, and those who liked Top Gun: Maverick’s action sequences.

This is the movie Brad Pitt tried to scab for during the SAG Actors’ strike

actually don’t think the racings shots look very impressive, you get the same from the on board cams at every F1 race

Looks like a **F1** commercial alright.
Getting *Days of Thunder* x *Dead Reckoning* vibes with the trailer released a year early.
Story will probably be *Maverick* but with race cars instead of fighter planes.
One of the underperformers of summer 2025.

$300 million dollars and that’s your first impression? Yikes.
